  2. Locate the C7 vertebra (the bump at the base of your neck when you tilt your head forward)
  3. Locate your iliac crest (the top of your hip bones)
  4. Measure the distance between these two points

Strap Adjustment Guide

Shoulder Straps:

  • Adjust so the backpack sits high on your back
  • The top of the pack should be level with your shoulders
  • Straps should form an "S" curve around your shoulders

Chest Strap:

  • Position 2-3 inches below your collarbone
  • Should be snug but not restrictive
  • Helps distribute weight evenly

Hip Belt (for larger models):

  • Should rest on your hip bones, not your waist
  • Carries 80% of the pack's weight
  • Tighten after adjusting shoulder straps

Fitting Tips

  • Load your backpack with typical items before adjusting
  • Adjust straps while standing
  • The backpack should feel balanced and stable
  • There should be no gap between the pack and your back
  • You should be able to move freely without restriction
